I would say if it differs by a bit.....then....it shouldnt be a big problem....the most important thing is not looks or not even personality.......but actually.....compatibility. If you can have long-term compatibility, it is better and more preferable.

I do have exceptional standard for my potential girlfriend. However, as I aged, I realised that inner beauty is equally important. Pretty face, vase-shape body, long slender legs are too broad to look at when you head down to Orchard Road. There is no benchmark to follow. So I basically have them narrowed down to at least an university graduate so as to communicate fairly with me.

guys, would u not go for a girl just because her normal looks are not up to your personal (relatively high) standards? Its like I keep telling myself, must see the girl inner character becos when one gets old, even the most beautiful woman will also become an old woman with wrinkles, whats left is her character inside. But then another voice tells me physical beauty is quite impt too. Its like 2 diff drastic opinion.

When I was young, looks were the priority. As I got older, personality. I know good looking women who abuse their bf/husband.... just because they have the looks and the partner is afraid to lose them. Sad cases.

Personally as long as the woman is pleasant and isn't overtly fat... I'm cool with it.

Let me put it to you this way. In a sexual context its not worth alot. Think about the pretty girls you see along your famous red light districts... how much do they charge?

Now think of it the other way. A girl with the correct personality.... that is a lifelong investment.

Try and find a balance between the 2 and you'll be happy. If you're young you'll tend to tip towards physical beauty more. Its normal.... because there are not much worries. When you are in the working world and starting to get serious about your investments and family.... and trying to find work/life balance.... you'll tip towards personality.
