Depends on what type of love you are talking about.
1. Love and lust are two different things. A relationship based
on lust will not survive because either one will start to "stray
and cheat" eventually.
2. Conditional love will need some materialistic items (money,
jewelry, house etc) and good communication to survive.
3. Unconditional love does not need any materialistic items at
all and will certainly last for the entire lifetime.

If the relationship is based on 2, still can go ahead, just keep in
mind that meeting the requirements are important.
If the relationship is based on 1, enjoy it while it lasts.
