I have read this whole thread and I would like to give some
information which i hope will be an encouragement to Jem and his
family and love ones.
I was searching on the Internet for possible ways that Jem could
communicate with a computer or a prosthetic arm or leg using the
brain. I managed to find some information and I hope to find more
that could help Jem.
There is a device called the "BrainGate Neural Interface
System". This invention is actually by an American company called
Cyberkinetics which implants a chip at the part of the brain
responsible for voluntary movement.
