Giving a rumor more attention will only cause others to give it more...well, attention. just ignore it and let it die down over time. in any case, you deny or what, ppl also wun believe one. the more kan cheong you are the more ppl think it's true, in fact.

See if u can find any reason to defend yourself.If you cant juz act as if u don mind or like if they say you're perverted or something juz play along with them and say something like ya la ya la.After a few days they will get sick of teasing because u ''dont'' mind them.

depends on the severity of the rumour and how it affects you. if it is malicious and hurts your prospects (e.g. career, relationship), then it will be good to clarify with the other party (e.g. boss, b/gf) if it has clearly affected them.

2) Ignore the rumours

3) Spread counter rumours

4) Step out and clarify with everyone whom the rumour has spreaded too.

just resume your daily activities... apparently, some person has offended the other in some way or the other so as to face such a consequence

when i mean offended in some way or the other, it can be directly or indirectly...some people are just petty...blames it down to the ill luck of that poor person

if you're really born in 1984...you're still young...don't do anything that will jeopardize your career or your studies just by confronting the person who started the rumours...
