well my dads 60 right now, and i damn well hope that when he
reaches this so called "third stage of life", he'll still call me
son. I would hope, that he would never relinquish his role as a
parent, because I wont ever stop calling him my father: Its not so
much so out of respect, but as a sign of love.
I don't know about anybody else's parents, but my parents never
dictated how i'd live my life, they only guided. And maybe the
reason why old folks are so angry all the time is because of
cynical young people that think that they own the world.
Frankly, I would hope that my dad and mom will still be able to
pass on advice, since i will still refer to them as my mentor, best
friend and foremost, parent.
When i get to my so called "third stage of my life", I'd
honestly hope that I won't be "reviewing" my life, and regretting
the "better" past. I'd hope that my children by that time, will
retain the love to call me dad.
