Besides, why not just wait for the big players (eg. Volvo) to
develop the autonomous buses, then we just import the buses from
them? Save on the R&D, which I feel is not necessary
considering other people are also doing the same thing.
We also never manufacture our buses, or cars for that matter, so
why now all of a sudden we want to conceive, design and implement
autonomous buses from scratch?
Just wait for the big players to create the autonomous buses,
later then we purchase the buses from them, like how we are
purchasing hybrid buses now, which in fact would be cheaper, as the
buses would already be developed (save on R&D) and probably
mass-produced for the growing global market, as fossil fuels
deplete and people start to look for electric buses and autonomous
buses at the same time (enjoy economies of scale).
