haha something similar happened to me once and i panicked like hell but then i convinced myself that: NO ONE CARES. if they cared they would have told you off right at that moment or completely stared at you. but they didn't. until anyone gets scolded that's when you need to worry, but it's nothing to lose sleep over. just forget it and be cautious next time. plus aged residents tend to have bad eye sight or really bad memory so it's ok. just calm down.
