Without love, NOTHING is ever enough.
You can be buried with money, diamond and pearls, buy anything
and anyone you want, but in reality, you know for sure that people
are around you only because of your wealth.
You can have the most sexy and beautiful woman as your wife, and
several mistressess, yet there will always be an empty feeling in
your heart. The emptiness will not go away, espacially in your
deepest darkest moments. No one cares about you, let alone love
you. It is your wealth they want.
You can be the poorest guy, but doomed by your poverty, you will
be filled with rage and anger, driving yourself even poorer because
no one cares, let alone love you.
Can I love and yet not be loved? Yes, for it depends on how you
measure love and love returned.
Is love an object of monetary value? Is love an obligation to be
returned?
Or is love measured by the happiness and motivations it gives to
us, to live a better day and look forward to a better tomorrow?
For example, I love my country. But how is the love from the
country in return to me manifested? This, each can only answer
to oneself.
I love a lady. I care about her and want her to be happy. Even
if it means she finds a better man than me. Is she obligated as a
toy, a chattel, a slave, to love me? Am I a fool for
caring about her and her happiness?
Just my musings, for I know not enough of love, only that true
love never enslaves anyone. I have yet to reach a higher plane of
mortal existance, and am still stuck in the jungles that I, an
animal, striving to get out of.
