Can also launch 386A with DDs terminating at Edgedale Plains (end) during peak hours and morning downroutes from Edgedale Plains (end) to Punggol Interchange.

Recommended fleet: 4 SDs do whole route, 2 DDs do downroutes/386A.

Hi mr busanalyser, anything is possible. However I still do not like the concept of having a supplementary service A for a feeder bus service. This idea of an A for feeder suggests the route is not well planned. I understand the rationale of A for trunk service but if you ask me, I don't really accept A for feeder. Cheers. Thanks.

Similarly in future I think 382G/W will be edited to ply Sumang Lane for Matilda Edge and Matilda Court HDB. I doubt there will be a new service, but since 382G/W is bi-directional, may have it do 2 extra stops inside Matilda estate.

Punggol East (end) is in Q4 2017. Still a long time to go. By then you never know there may be more expansion along Punggol East (end) that may justify a dedicated service for it.

Hi mr busanalyser, that is ok. As long as not getting sbs 386 to do sumang side like what some forumers here wanted as an inter town link. This will be very dramatic for sbs 386. Let sbs 382G/W do west side and 386 do east side. Cheers. Thanks.

The most get extra 2-3 Citaros..DD better use for 3,43,62 and 118.Punggol/Sengkang already have LRT as an alternative.

Good move by LTA. Although I prefered 102 to do Westcamp as 102 has limited demand at Jln Kayu sector.
For 386, I have nothing to say, conservative.
Btw this 1 different route planner plan ah?

Hi mr carbikebus, LRT cannot reach edgefield plains end and edgedale plains end. Moreover, the two places are populated with HDB flats. 1 bus service is a bit too little considering that there are other roads in Singapore with at least 3 to 5 bus services. Cheers. Thanks.

I somehow believe that this is not the end for 386...the two Edgefield Plains ends might be joined together and therefore, plying the thorough road would make 386 skip Oasis LRT. Therefore, the two differentiating loops will no longer exist.

Hi mr Gus.chong, there is a semi expressway right behind. The road is currently being used by vehicles for constructing. If sbs 386 is routed to go and serve using that expressway, then another new service needs to come in to serve all the new bus stops erected outside horizon and greendale primary school. It is totally not possible that they take out the only service passing by these few stops without replacement. You can see from sbs 76/134 episode. If they want to do so, they will have done it this time. Unfortunately they reinforced it by doubling this connection.

If they are to decide it to go by semi expressway which is totally behind all these buildings, sbs 386 route will have been totally different. No need to go to whole of Punggol east. It will need to go to Punggol drive to access the semi-expressway. As of present, these two roads cannot be linked straight across. Unless you need to demolish many HDB flats already built. Cheers. There are plans for 102 to be extended to East Camp once the area there develops.

I don't know why do you assume that with this change Punggol Plaza connection will be withdrawn. Not necessary. 386 can go via semi-expressway in future from Edgefield Plains (end) to Edgedale Plains (end) and can then still do all of Edgedale Plains to Punggol Plaza and loop as of today. The only stop that will be skipped is Oasis LRT along Punggol Dr (which if you see today has almost 0 boarding/alighting) because you have LRT connecting Punggol Dr to Punggol Plaza.

What do you mean by 386 is conservative?

Also logical sense to have 117 do West Camp to improve its loading rather than extend 102 which acts as 3-4 mini feeders (Sengkang West - Sengkang MRT, Compassalve - Buangkok MRT, Buangkok MRT - Buangkok Dr, Upper Serangoon Road - Hougang MRT)

Hi mr busanalyser, as far as I know, the semi-expressway is not linked to edgefield plains and edgedale plains. That is the problem why I say it cannot continue on its current loop. Anyway, current 24 April route is good.

Moreover, sbs 386 must ply oasis LRT. Now you see zero passengers at this stop. By end of next year, when the new mall besides oasis LRT is up, you will see a flicker of residents from either edgefield plains end or edgedale plains end residents taking this bus to oasis LRT stop. Note that the mall will also have Punggol polyclinic. This mall is just nicely located in between these 2 roads. It is not possible for people to keep walking. I doubt they will re-route it to go by semi-expressway. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr busanalyser, yes the mall is under construction since mid June 2015 and is slated for completion in Q4 2017/Q1 2018. The polyclinic may open first. The mall is named oasis terraces. This is so called the neighbourhood mall for edgefield and edgedale plus many others living along Punggol drive. Expects lots of crowds again and it is pity there are only sbs 50 and sbs 386 serving this mall. It is also a pity that one feeder bus service sbs 386 is expected to serve so many areas inside Punggol east. However it is also good that it connects many areas that well using 1 bus service. There is a likelihood that the new BSEP buses registered from now onwards are in the new SG♡Bus livery.

The two BSEP "new" routes may get buses with the new SG♡Bus livery. There may or may not be operator logo, since the Loyang GCM will begin shortly.

If bus service 258 gets capacity downgrade in the form of double-to-single decker bus replacements, it is likely that some of bus service 258's double decker buses will be re-deployed on either bus service 117 or 386. If there is no other BSEP bus with SBS Transit livery, it is likely that the rest of the new buses will be brand new buses in the new SG♡Bus livery.

I can think of 66. 66 might be too big if it is amended, trust me. Plying via MacPherson Road, Airport Road, Eunos Link and also Bt Batok St 11, Bt Batok West Ave 6? It will be a joke.

The service 66 (West) can run from Jurong East and terminate at Bendemeer Terminus, located at Downtown Line Stage 3 station if necessary.

The service 66 (East) can run from Bedok and terminate at Dhoby Ghaut Station, then mealbreaks in front of Lau Lee's house at 38 Oxley Road?

Commuters are not inconvenienced as they can make transfers at Serangoon Road/Jalan Besar.
