Mixed results for the three svcs

860: don't think so (860 has only one bendy on AP slot, though there S1/S2 bendies, nearly all rigids are taros)
962: so-so
964: okay (bendies are full to the brim)

once 856 has Full Fleet DD, 859 can be removed. 882 could see some A22 or E50D/A95.

Right, a while ago, 912 failed WAB (info from SMB315C). 980 and 882 did fail WAB before. 980 had O405s cameos in lieu of shortage of A22s then. 882 had two buses then, just one non-WAB would mean WAB failure.

856 is already "almost" full fleet high capacity buses. 859A/B is required irrespective as route is different than 2 stops where it is common.

Actually 859 is an essential service for SEM residents. This is the bus service where passengers in the northern part of the estate get to ride direct to CP where there are many shops not available in SEM. It also provides connection to YIS so that passengers can make transfers to other destinations such as Bedok & Tampines. In addition, many students of Sembawang Sec live in Yishun, so its no wonder why 859 is fairly full during peak hours instead of walking to far bus stops which I dont see why the residents want to do so

The issue is that it's totally hopeless to deploy DD on feeder/intratown/psuedo-feeder services (aka 962, 964, 860, etc)

SMRT is just mindlessly WAB-ing services which they don't even have the proper buses for. SBST has DD successfully on feeder/townlink services because they're deployed on those services for years now. No one wants to go upstairs for a few stops. Less said for the elderly who does frequent feeder services as well.

Although bendies are the best for those feeders, at least it's better to have DDs on those SMRT WAB feeders rather than spamming A22s.

Crazy ah 859 removed?It can be extend to serve and loop at Central 2 passingby Yishun Int if DDs is required.Even 859A/B get average loadings..852 can also extend to Sembawang passingby Yishun Int..

Yes of course St 61 is for 812 if anything. But it may be an unrelated event - for example, an unrelated regular scheduled task for NParks, so dont read too much into it yeah ;)

Once again ... would have been great if LTA would just redirect one trunk service over to serve St 61. Makes no sense to have all of the trunks crowd around the same road and bus stops while the interior is poorly served.

969 should not... We could have 859 loop around st 61 / Yishun Central for Sembawang - Yishun town connectivity... and have 853 go via Yishun Central / st 61 or ave 4 / Ring road to Yishun ave 2.

The overall connectivity of Yishun east town has also improved with 117 now doing ave 1 and 103 doing ave 11.

Ave 9 - no service today

Ave 11 - 103 (Serangoon - YCK Road - Sengkang - SAP)

Ring Road - no service today

Ave 4/6 - no service today

* So basically we need 1 service to be routed via ave 9 / ring road to Khatib (this could be service 851 & 859)

* 1 service routed via Ave 4 or st 61 (this could be service 853 & 859)

* With these modifications most of the job can be done

Going via Ave 9 to Khatib is hard... what I had in mind is for a future Sembawang - Canberra - Yishun short trunk that enters Yishun via Ave 2 / 7 / 6 / 9, then loops around at Central / Central 2 to Yishun MRT station, and back to Ave 9. Easy access for Ave 7 / 9 residents and workers to Canberra MRT station as well.

Extended Ave 8 may need some sort of service in the future.

172 will be extended from Boon Lay to Poyan using a fleet of 30 lush green 4 door A95 and 30 Scania K310UDs.

149 will be introduced between West Perimeter Road and Lim Chu Kang jetty via ECP, MCE, Pulau Semakau, AYE, Jalan Bahar, Poyan, Danderhall, Sarimbun, Pusara Aman, Lor Rusuk, Murai Farmway, Ama Keng, Sungei Gedong MRT and Cluney Gardens.
