11 + 4 future stops

The stops along ave 7 might come up later coz the huge HDB complex of Keat Hong Colors will TOP in Q4. There might be a stop at junction of ave 1/7 and stop at grove near Delta School.

Basically with longer route of 983 they killed 3 birds with 1 stone. No need for feeder for CCK Grove/7 from CCK and no need for extension of 990 to BPJ via Brickland/CCK ave 7 / Grove.

Wow... This is 90% similar to the route I proposed for sv 164 few months back :))

Just that I thought it will do Punggol Way -> Punggol Field and Punggol Road to provide connection for Punggol west residents to Punggol road.

Hi mr busanalyser, nowadays punggol west people do not need go Punggol road. TPE stop is the ultimate stop where they can transfer! Cheers! Thanks.

Ingenious.

Though a pity that LTA didn't extend it, there's still no direct link to other towns / express buses (besides 963E). But it's understandable that they want to test the waters before trying out anything longer

Thought the route could do CCK Way on its return loop to serve the camps though, but didn't happen, too bad.

@BusAnalayzer: It's four times - once prior to the service, twice during the service, and once when returning to the bus park.

AJQ... i was hoping you were right here... and 177 got extended instead of new service. Bcoz this bus will have to do Woodlands Road twice from BPJ Temp Terminal.

Hi mr lemon1974, that is where you are wrong. Previously sbs 386 got extended and sbs 3 recent route amendment, posters come out first on bus stops much earlier than official press announcement. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr sbs2652G, I am happy it does not call at tampines MRT. It gives a super direct connection to tampines ave 1, CGH, expo, changi business park area which is sorely lacking for Punggol residents for years. We have sbs 27/34/969 at TPE stop to tampines MRT already. Cheers. Thanks.

sadly this route doesnt call at Tampines MRT

which is very good IMO. It should serve Temasek, Changi gen hosp, ITE, Changi Biz Park - other areas of east not connected by 27/34.

It could also be Yishun Ave 1 --> Yishun St 41 --> Yishun Ring Road --> Yishun Ave 4 --> Yishun Ave 1... in this case your friend will not be disappointed :)

Went to Bt Panjang area to take a quick look ... apparently there's posters for individual services (979, 983) - which I saw is up at BPJ Rd (44259). There's also the overall large poster for route realignments at BPJ, starting from 27 Dec, concerning 920, 922, 975, 979 and 983, and it is up at BPJ Rd (44259) and Upp Bt Timah Rd (44021), but not (yet?) at 44029.

Overall there'll be 13 bus stops along the four roads surrounding BPJ MRT/LRT: 3 along UBT Rd (1 new temp stop: 44031, after 44029), 2 along Petir Rd, 4 along Jelebu Rd and 4 along BPJ Rd (1 new temp stop: 44909, after 44259).

920 and 922 will be realigned to start from Petir Rd (44851) and Jelebu Rd (44631), and serves BPJ Rd (44259) and UBT Rd (44031) on return journey. Same for 979, but it doesn't serve the stop at BPJ Rd.

983 loops around BPJ MRT, serving the stops at Petir Rd, Jelebu Rd and BPJ Rd, but not UBT Rd.

975 starts at Petir Rd (44851), Jelebu Rd (44731), BPJ Rd (44259) before going towards CCK. On return journey, serves BPJ Rd (44251) and Jelebu Rd (44739).

171 / 970 to serve 44909 instead of 44259.
