HI mr carbikebus, already 5 November 2016 now. Should have some news by now. Seeing the ongoing developments for Punggol expansion, the signboard showing Q3 2017 is definitely valid. No way can complete in Q1 2017 or Q2 2017. They are really doing it accordingly to initial planning. Means new bus services for Punggol will only come earliest in Q4 2017. Cheers. Thanks.

And the talk of an earlier BR-CG service that till now can still not be confirmed.

Last time i heard 48 wanna terminate at CBP and a new trunk svc from CBP passingby Bndep loop at Bedok Int..Dunno if its true or not.

Not really, if Route 171 bites the dust. Route 983 can provide cover from BPJ-YIS. BPJ-City quite well-covered, with 190, 972 & DTL.

Problem is whether 171 route (YIS-BPJ) is DD friendly and whether it could run on high capacity buses with as high a frequency as 983. Based on current stats it doesn't look like a 171-983 marriage would endure.
