It have been 1 month plus going to 2 months. This person borrow

I will strongly advise you not to beat him. He is jobless now as
you have mentioned, thus even if you beat him up, you will not get
your money back.
If he decides to make a police report, he will not be punished
by law for owing you money, but you may be sent to jail for
assault.
The only thing you can do now, unfortunately, is to wait till he
gets a job, and ask for your money back.
