After all, CCA does build character at the very least, and it prepares you for the fact that you are gonna have many other commitments other than just studies later on in life. CCA also helps you for your O' Level aggregate score.

Perhaps your father has seen that letting your sister off easy has made her into less than what she is made of, and doesn't want the same thing to happen to you.

If u can't even learn to work well with ppl in ur cca, how are u going to face the working world in future?

The reason for ccas are to learn all the soft skills and maybe some technical skills depending on cca which academic cannot teach. In fact u stand to gain alot more knowledge from cca that will aid ur whole life more than any amt of academic success can ever bring since you only can study that many years.

Hmm okay, i think i will reflect on myself. My sis tell me that she actually regretted skipping her CCAs and now her cca is unable to help her to minus one point, and especially, my studies is not as good as her.

CCA is not juz to - pts in JC

U can learn alot of leadership, organisation etc skills from CCA which will serve u well in watever u do in future. When u look for work in future, what ppl wanna see besides ur academic results is ur skills n knowledge outside the books such as ur leadership, organisation ability etc. Results many people can score the same results but its these value added skills that makes each applicant different from the rest.

just take A maths and move on with it. Don't regret like me, I had the choice but I choose not to take A maths and ended up in the wrong class and wrong companion. When I look at my friend's A maths paper, it was easy manzxc and yet i didn't take it.

Then i feel even more disappointed looking at the initial post of this forum since it sounds so petty and xiao qi...

Academics are important but so are cca activities and the best student is 1 who can strike a good balence on both ends without neglecting the other.An active cca will enrich ur life more than not having 1 and as you grow older, you will realise the significance of it more and more.

Regardless, you are studying for ur future. Don't let this issue make you make stupid decisions that will ruin ur own future. Its too late to start scolding urself for being stupid after things have happened as you cannot reverse time.

Unless u do not intend to take a science or engineering career in future. U BETTER take pure science. Taking DnT, FnN, art is an absolutely stupid decision even for my tuition kid whose results is worse than urs.

If thats the truth, it will show some maturity and will give me a better impression of you. U're just 14, going through puberty doesn't give you an excuse to be implusive.

Never make or say anything when you are agitated cos most ppl live to regret later on. What you did by just posting on forums etc might be minimal and have little effect on ur life etc but this behavior if left uncheck can create problems for you in future.

Behave maturely and i believe you will be able to get back into your dad's good books.
