Would you mind to be a little more specific on how you define
"Most"? When you say "Most", it doesn't means, "All". Something is
wrong, isn't it? When it isn't "All", it means you ain't putting in
enough effort.
Half of the computer addicts i've seen, including myself,
studies in such a manner. 30mins study, 1hr rest. Or perhaps,
watching T.V., playing PSP, whilst studying. Nonetheless, not
focusing at all, therefore, nothing went in the brain. Try
searching your soul on how you studied, do you feel guilty?
The other half, well, doesn't give a uh uh to the examinations.
At least you bothered, at least you tried.
Look back at your Mid year, then look at your End-of-Years',
does it deterioriate or improved? I can assure you have improved
unless you ain't putting your efforts in the right method as
mentioned above.
It may be not be eye-appealing, but at least you had studied,
PROBABLY NOT THE RIGHT WAY. For instance, History, there is a
specific way to answer Source-based questions or Essay questions.
Science, too. The formulae and theories can never be changed. Are
you sure you were studying the right thing?
Teachers follow a marking scheme. As long as you have the points
they needed, you get the marks. Try asking the teachers, but of
course, with your papers. Find out what went wrong and learn from
it.
What makes you think so? It's only End-Of-Year Examinations, not
your "O" Levels. You still have two dead long months of holidays to
catch up, and another 1 whole year, or rather, 10/11 months to sort
things right.
IF YOU GONNA GO BACK TO
YOUR COMPUTER GAMES THIS UPCOMING HOLIDAY, THEN, IT'S GONE. ALL
YOUR EFFORTS FOR THIS YEAR.
AND YOU CAN FACE A MIRROR AND
TELL YOURSELF THIS:
"I'M A LOSER. I DIDN'T BOTHER
TO TRY TO ATTAIN MY GOALS UNTIL I'M VANQUISH. I GAVE UP HALFWAY TO
MY SELF-PITY."
As for CCA, i might say it is too late for you to fix or change
it, but try changing to something you like, if CCA points wouldn't
be affected. Even though you may not excel in that aspect, like
running, sport games, whatever it is. As long as you have the
interest, you will just keep attending and "terrible cca record"
will cease to exist.
Lastly, If you ain't gonna help yourself, don't bother asking
for help. Nobody can and will be able to help. Because ultimately,
we can only motivate you, but if you insist on being stationary,
there is nothing much anyone and everyone esle can do.
I think you read my message wrongly. By "most effort", I
meant that I studied harder for this examinations than any of my
others. And no, I don't feel guilty, of course its not a 24 hours
mug but certainly not a 30min study and 1 hour break kind of thing.
Also I have improved but slightly, and deproved in some better
subjects from the mid-year, and considering that I only have an
examination and a prelim left I'm not sure if I can improve enough
for the "O" levels, especially since my results are much lower in
proportion with my peers. Furthermore each time my enthusiasm
recharges it gets hit time and again by tests and diminished by a
school examination, and each time it does my interest lessens.
