It's that legal to take photo from the book inside the
library?
Today I went to National library - Reference section, which the
books are not allow to borrow, so I took pic using my handphone for
reference use, then suddently one of the librarian came to me
saying take pic from the book is againts the copyright in SG, here
we got color copying machine, u can do the hardcopy print
out but no digital copy allow.
I was thinking wtf?
Laser color copy is legal inside library, but my low resolution
digital copy it's illegal?
She was order me to delete all the images I took on the spot,
I'm very upset & doubt what she said was not true, where
got ppl pay $$$ to do color copy in the library if he can do a free
photo shooting?
Its the piracy law lah.
You copy some one else's work.. without paying. Is against the
law already.
Copying in library.. if I am not wrong.. also cannot copy more
than certain allowable % of the book.
The library already allow you to read the book for free in the
premise, why must you be so cheapskate go and take digital
photograph ?
Even if you want to use someone else's work .. as long as you
benefit from it... you must pay royalty ok ? Good.
