Looking Back & Forward Through The Years

I thought this might be a simpler thread of reflecting and expecting what happened in the past, present and future instead of unnecessary yearly threads

So to start off with, we had the BCM which had loads of changes around the bus system, then white elephant svcs turning into unexpectedly useful services and then also the CGA fiasco. What do you think of the year? Was it somehow a disappointing/approving year with all the events so far?

Just create a yearly thread so that we don't have to keep creating new ones when they expire or reach 2000 posts..

Surprises:SBST takes the A95 with the exceptional of Seletar package.

Dissapointed:LTA doesn't lease the B3 A95 to TTS/GAS.

Grateful:Marina Centre will have boarding/alighting facilities in future.

Worried:LTA will discontinue TTS/GAS operations after their contract expired and back to duopoly again.

Dislikes:Fully electric buses.

The thing is the latter thread only has around 300 posts just for 1 year. Thats why I created this cos I believe this would be used for more than 1 year. With that way this thread would not expire as soon as you think

No hard feelings, just plain opinions

In any way we can always change the title to something else (what to expect in 2018)

Anyway,

What I am happy: At least SMRT has finally woke up to the reality

What I am sad: Some things are going for the worst (you name it)

What I am surprised: White elephants becoming useful svcs

What I am disappointed: The CGA fiasco

Good Things:

-Intake of B3 A95

-Trail of 4002G & 5999Z

-All 80 Svc under BSEP launched! (After 9 Dec)

Bad things:

-No more articulated buses being purchased by LTA

-SMRT didn't win Seletar contract

-Buses still stuck in Euro V

-Airport Svc standardised to Citaro SBST spec :(
