I foresee a rationalisation of bus routes in Tuas, Singapore when the Tuas West MRT stations open.

Tuas don't need so many buses... the current number is sufficient.... 193 not yet WAB.... at most one more is enough for Tuas. Jurong West Boon Lay and Taman Jurong will have around 1k new flats coming up. 240 already quite pack, but maybe after fleet upgrade still can handle.... Bulim and Clean Tech Park will need a dedicated bus service when more offices open there.

i think tuas will have about 2 new service lah. so in all makes 4

Jurong West, Taman Jurong doing v well. I don't see any need for further fleet add to svc 240. Already 15 buses with 10 DDs & 5 SDs, from 4 DDs and 7 SDs 2 years back.

Bulim/Clean Tech still time for development.

Bus loads of workers on 182 at Tuas West Drive... I got see before. morning, afternoon 12pm and evening... that's why I say, maybe one more for that area.

but u say current number is sufficient, which, even i do not work there at all, can feel its not enuf. Well you shld have made ur statement clearer... Whatever the case, lets hope for new services in Tuas area haha

True, I wonder why the small order too.

But SDs is diff story coz too many of them and what we need now is HC buses not rigids.

Do not expect new feeders at Sengkang. If have, they would already exist. Use your brain think about it. Otherwise, wonder why they drag so long (more than 10 years)? Anyway contrary to popular belief there is no new bus stop at Compassvale crescent... I think the one at Swimming pool (farm way) also can forget about it. No chance for feeder. More likely is trunk to enhance intra town connectivity.

Hi mr gekpohboy, as I had always said in the past and I shall repeat it again, the new bus stop for those new compassvale crescent flats is actually at the road on the side called Sengkang east rd (blk 286B). It is not inside compassvale crescent. Currently tge bus stop is operational already and 43, 43M, 109, 119 stop at the bus stop.

I don't expect bus stops inside compssvale crescent as it is considered one way due to only one turn to compassvale street. Tell LTA to prove me wrong in 2017 if they decide to erect bus stops and put buses inside compassvale crescent. I stand to be corrected and challenged. Cheers. Thanks.

SMRT is not taking in any more Citaros. And so isn't any other operator.

There are no longer any new SD orders by LTA. Remaining new buses on the last incomplete order are used as storage for Seletar.

About time, too. Way too many SDs on the road alr...

Now it's a competition between the tri-door A22 and the Euro 6 Citaro... But the latter is less likely to come true since nothing concrete is seen from it...

Compassvale Cres can be the looping point.

Hi mr sbs6750E, oh ok. Loop is still acceptable. This part of the area is really quite a contentious area where it can make or break a new bus service. Not far from Sengkang mrt. But neither near too. Can walk but also cannot walk sometimes. If introduce a service just for looping, also considered too short. Headache sia. This is also why service 83 gets some loading because people boarded at Sengkang interchange compass one mall with hands carrying plastic bags and alighted at compassvale st bus stop.

Meanwhile walk few min to compassvale street take 83. For those flats near to Sengkang east rd, can walk there. For those flats near to compassvale LRT, can walk there as the bus stop at LRT has more bus services there. Meanwhile, hope LTA really pulls in a service to loop at compassvale crescent since the expanded interchange is completed. Cheers. Thanks.

Yah those are the remaining buses from last order... The order havent finish but LTA have not had any further orders...

Most prob for Seletar... (I pray SMRT doesnt win otherwise it will have to innocently suffer from trashy B9s and Taros, esp. B9s)

Hi mr sbs6750E, yes compassvale crescent people currently still have choices. The new pair of bus stops at Sengkang east road should help them a lot. When 2018 comes, the nearby Sengkang general hospital will also be of great help. It will jsut be one bus stop away. Expect the hospital to serve most of the northeast population in Singapore. Hi mr sbs6750E, waterway point has IMAX but seletar mall does not have IMAX. Actually seletar mall is self-sufficient on its own. Seletar mall is a good mall too. Brought so much convenience to the fernvale residents. Last time the area around here no cinema at all. Now got 2. Cheers. Thanks.

Ya Sengkang and Punggol rly grew alot... Gone are the days of crowding with nex and Tampines crowd to catch movie

Punggol even has the biggest mall in NE (if not in SG) now...

So, by that, I assume the two new bus services in Jurong West are all for Tuas.
