But usually
Private sector MNC: 8am to 6pm
Private sector SMC: 8am to 6~7pm with OT pay
Govt sector: 7.30am to 7.30 pm with no OT pay, at times at 11pm

Private sector pay for uni fresh grads ranges from $2.4k to $3.4k
Govt sector pay for uni fresh grads ranges from $2.4k to $3.85k

So see what company you choose lor.

The way I see it, having just a basic degree is not even the minimum these days.

You need to have a MBA or ACCA or PhD or CFP or whatever shit you can add to your name behind.

at interview question for construction: Why should we hire u ?

Ans: Because i spend 7 years to get my PHD in Structural Engineer. I know how to lay the brick the way it should. Because i understand the entire structure of the building , and i play an important role in this foundation.

N u go on explaining the history of bricks , how its laid , specifications, components ...etc

To gd4u : I know what programme you mean, is it Channel 8 "The Dream Catchers" or "未来不是梦" , maybe I can only said if you want to cheer up and motivated from your tough engineering life, you should watch this show and be influenced.And then maybe your life title is "未来是恶梦". Cheers !
