We set up an online shop about 2-3 months ago. shortly after
that, one of the admins's friend 'copy' us and set up an online
shop too selling the same things. as the copycat shop was not well
manage, it was closed off after some time. just recently, that
copycat came back with a brand new domin url and selling exactly
the same stuff as us. the whole concept and even ways of purchasing
was all the same.
just what is she trying to do?? we know that of course business
there will be competitions but as a friend, should't she at least
inform us about it and also try not to sell exactly the same things
as us. it is just being unfair to us.
i just wanna use this forum to rant as we can only sit and do
nothing./....
Since your friend have a habit of copying you, this means
you are leading the way and at the front of the industry (Whichever
products you are marketing at the present).
You can always spend more time to improve your own business to
be more efficient.
Since it is online-based, then there's almost no copyright nor
intellectual-property protection for your business. And it is legal
for your friend to copy your website.
Remember, the business can be exactly the same...but no
businessman/woman are the same.
The difference in the business performance will reveal in time
because the business-owners are of different breed and
abilities.
No need to feel bad about it, you should be proud that
people are looking up to you.
But don't be arrogant okie?
