I learned my lesson the first and the last time after 9/11 about playing shares and made a vow never to gamble again.Nowadays I play TOTO when I go to SIngapore or bet on soccer soccer scores once every 4 years.LOL

invest with spare money, even if that is your full time job. if it is your full time job, invest with other people's money make more sense.

I'm holding on to some blue chip stocks right now that has dropped about 20%...

but if got holding power, wait 5 years can earn back all in terms of stock price, excluding dividends

just a matter of earning more or less

slowly enter bit by bit, dun enter all at the same time... if not drop even further, how to enter somemore

if you have a house up for rental that can cover property taxes, etc, and still generate positive cash flow, then it is an asset :D

i just buy blue chips lor

split money slowly enter bit by bit lor...

or another way is to wait till sti reach around 1000 or less, then enter bit by bit on the exchange traded fund tracking the sti

If you buying, use only money you can afford not to use for the next 5 years. i.e. must hv holding power.

Can expect sti to reach back up to 3000 again. Economy goes in cycles
