Now we knew why SMRT only orders 101 Alexander Dennis Enviro 500.I guaranteed this will be a sucessful trial and probably they will order at least 150 units...

further to other have mention, there are over 220 buses from bulim packages for SBST, if LTA is to buy new buses... so SBST will have 220 buses left over...yes, these buses can be deploy to other services, but where to find so many BC? where most of the BCs are going to Bulim.... same go for Loyang Package...

further, the current bus frequency is already quite good for almost all the services after addition from BSEP.. there are stll some which need improvement, but it does not need 220 buses...

also, if you are going to purchase 400 new buses for Bulim, what will be the cost and also the time needed to get all the buses in? and then another 400 new buses for Loyang later this year?

The first 11 registered B4 Wrights for TT were probably from BSEP.

And, don't forget about de-registration of buses.

LTA buy all the new buses and use them for the new operators. so one day might see wright on 106 man a95 on 143. LTA used tax payers money so it we paid for the new bus. one thing for sure is if the sbst and smrt never improve on the bus service and employment wellfare and salary, one day there will not be any sbst or smrt in singapore.

I dont think SBST and SMRT will be gone even in 20 years time..The incumbents got strong gov back up.The most they lost only a few of their so called territories.I am more concerned about the new operators instead,Can they last 5 years?Hahhaaaa

It would be a pity if SBST and SMRT totally go. Not in huge favor of international companies running the bus operations here. They need to understand the situation, loading pattern etc. not very easy.

Guys,The A22 and A95 actually use the ZF EcoLife 6 AP 1700 B transmission..not the 2000 B.Only A24 use ZF EcoLife 6 AP 2000 B transmission.Take note.

They use the ZF 6 AP2000B gearbox for A22s and A95s, see A22 thread for explanation.

My prediction after 2022 you can only see a European and an Asian co beside those incumbents...No need so much operators unless the package is increased to 13/14..

Don't forget this order is meant to replace the VO3X Batch 2 (almost all) and VO3X Batch 3 (9601-9604, 9607-9608, 9611-9612, 9626-9627, 9632, 9644-9647, 9650-9659) - about 25 Volvo Olympian 3-Axles.

The rest of VO3X Batch 3 will be replaced progressively, coupled with about a little bit of extension.

delivery will be fast because LTA take over SBST's order? it is just taking over of orders, but the balance B9TL are not yet assembled...

The bus assembly plant (HGBA) cant built 200-300 B9 in 6 months time..... the most will be around 20-25 buses max per month...so how can LTA find 200 plus new B9 for Bulim, if they are going use all new buses? even the citaros order is also not enough to cover...

I think Chee Soon Juan becoming Prime Minister is more likely than 851 getting DD's.

Hahaha,Thats because of the ruling system they practice where Wldep get all the good and powerful buses.I really hope that LTA will supply more Citaros to them.

Ha ha... yes people have been hoping for 851 to get DDs for last 2 years... So many also reported DD training on 851 route.

By the way same case - what happened to DD training on 811 route?
