SMRT are not going to vacate Bulim Depot anytime soon. Where else to park their buses? KJDEP already bursting. Park at roadside or heavy vehicle park?

From the looks of it, there are currently around fifty to fifty-five buses inside Bulim Depot. So far don't have buses in the new Lush Green livery yet. All in SBS and SMRT livery. There's many Mercedes-Benz Citaro, MAN Double Decker, MAN A22 and Volvo B9TL. The majority of the fleet is likely going to be from the existing depots transfer over to Bulim Depot. I think by now SMRT need to vacate the place already, as the Bulim GCM is about to begin.

The MAN DDs and the A22 aren't they not on current BB services?

Yes,I think by Q4 this year the bidding starts..2017 Seletar and Q1 Ulu Pandan.Well i suspect a new depot near Buangkok East/Tampines Rd will be built in future,Maybe for Sengkang/Some of Tampines and Buangkok service?

Considering there are only two passenger service centres in every bus interchange, I guess each bus interchange will have up to two GCM packages only. An exception would be bus routes that loop inside the bus interchange, as they do not require a passenger service centre there.

Boon Lay already has 79 under Bulim GCM and Bedok already has 66 under Bulim GCM. I think they will each have only one more GCM.

Therefore, it is likely that 178, 187, 854 and 854e will not belong to Sungei Seletar GCM or any other GCMs in the North, since they belong to either Boon Lay or Bedok.

Actually, I feel that it is the number of buses that matters, not the number of routes, cuz each depot can only accomodate up to 500 to 550 buses, and must also reserve space for future use. It is stated that Bulim GCM will start with around 380 buses and Loyang GCM will start with around 400 buses. I guess 380 to 400 is roughly the number of buses every GCM package will start with. Based on the range of 380-400 buses, the fleet info at sgwiki and the fact that there are only two passenger service centres in a bus interchange, I think we can roughly guess the composition of possible GCM packages.

To cut long story short, here's my prediction:

Boon Lay GCM - all twenty seven routes at Boon Lay Int, excluding 79 and 258 - up to 406 buses as of now.

Bedok GCM - all twenty five routes at Bedok Int, excluding 17, 17a, 18, 30, 30e, 60 and 66 - up to 417 buses as of now.

Actually, if there's the limit of two passenger service centres in a bus interchange, there is a possibility that the six remaining routes at Clementi Int - excluding 7, 14 and 196 to avoid double count - may be part of Bedok GCM. Those six remaining routes use up to 144 buses. If combined with Bedok Int's routes, the total number is up to 561. I understand the maximum number of buses in a bus depot is 550. If combined, I guess route 96 (which uses up to 10 buses) will be changed to loop at Clementi and route 40 (which uses up to 7 buses) will be changed to loop at Bedok, making it 544 buses. Just nice fill up one bus depot of 550 vacancies.

In case you didn't know, nearer to the end of the year, Bedok Interchange will have the physical office presence of 3 operators namely SBST, SMRT (854/854E) and TT (66). 4 operators if you include the possibility of 17 ceasing to be a loop service.

Do you really think they will limit each interchange to having only two operators because of small factors like number of passenger service offices? They can always build new ones and there is no need for such micromanagement if efficiency is to be achieved in the grand scheme of things.

I dont think BPJ and Yishun will be included,For a 550 capacity Mandai depot i think the most LTA would allow is 26-29 service and 70% already come from Woodlands Reg Int.Yishun out of question already.Maybe a new Gali Batu depot will control CCK,BPJ and some of Woodlands svc like 178,187,960 & 963.

Ulu Pandan Depot capacity is 500 buses.

I guess the Ulu Pandan GCM will involve bus routes at Clementi, Jurong East, Joo Koon, Bukit Batok, Boon Lay and Tuas.

I guess it will begin with 482 buses on 30 routes (see below), with 18 spare capacity for future bus services to serve the future industrial and business developments in Jurong.

Clementi: 7, 14, 147, 156, 165, 166, 175, 196 - up to 183 buses

Jurong East: 51, 52, 105, 197, 506 - up to 114 buses

Joo Koon: 99, 182, 182M, 253, 254, 255, 257, 258 - up to 72 buses

Bukit Batok: 61, 852 - up to 46 buses

Boon Lay: 246, 249, 251, 252, 256 - up to 40 buses

Tuas: 192, 193 - up to 27 buses

If I remember correctly, a few years ago, someone said something about "West Coast package". Could this be the one?

Anyway, Ulu Pandan Depot will be ready in Q1 2018. I guess Ulu Pandan GCM will come in from Q1 2019.
