how hard it is to work with your bf in the same company ?

IMO, i find it the hardest to cope with. Not only you are dealing with issues from work, your colleagues, now that your own bf comes into the pictures ... everything now seems to be tearing apart.

We are in the same dept but different teams and he is sitting right beside me but separted by cubicles ..

can someone teach me how to have a high EQ to manage this and at the same time focus at least a 90% on your work ?

tink of it this way... if u perform badly u get the sack... then ur bf will get to enjoy the gals arnd him... so u still dun wan focus? gd luck cos usual workplace love r/s might get ugly...

i'm still doing what that are supposed to be done for the day. But i feel that i'm defeated by myself .. e.g. when a female colleague came over to talk either about work or personal chit chat i pick it up faster and feels a sense of jealousy.

is this normal ?

we also have a same grp of colleagues. This particular colleague of ours tend to be very touchy when talking to him. She is also quite close to me la .. I dunno whether to tell her what i'm uncomfortable with. It feels very petty of myself to begin with ... haix

i felt that it is rather normal to feel petty or uncomfortable. i do feel the same way too when me and my bf worked together. always have to keep a "lookout" for him.

i also find it difficult to work together with my bf. though it can be quite "romantic", still felt that there should be some space between me and him while working. it would be better if we are working in different companies to avoid unnecessary conflicts.

still, for you, you would like to express your feelings to your bf. hope that he will understand and be more sensitive to your feelings. with your feelings sorted out, i think you can concentrate better with your work.

like that also hard????? i have 4 lover out of the total of 11 in my same dept as mi... in the same room...sometimes.. when we go out for lunch.. i will be sitting in a taxi full of my lover except for the taxi driver.....stress right?

listen, i used to work together with my boyfriend for almost 6 years. guess the stress and sadness tat keep on cming in. this cannot that cannot. worst is at night he goes out clubbing and i am working till 11plus PM. Work together for 6 years he also forgot my birthday. anyway i still think it sucks to work together with your partners. better to work outside alone.

Hmmm, though i've never got involved in a relationship in my workplace b4, from my pnt of view, things will get real ugly, especially when there's "competition" between the 2 teams? Or even, when there's promotion and the company's can only afford to promote one of u... u'll be darn angry or upsets or whatsoever if he gets promoted, or even jealous when the head is a female or so! Especially, may i stress that u are more hardworking than him!

Yes u dont mind, but when the time comes, u'll never know. It'll be great if u wont have any hard feelings but afterall, we are all human and these are just norm reaction.

u really gotta be someone who has high EQ to handle all these... But dun worry over this trival matters, be professional [[esp when u guys bicker or hvg cold walls, etc...]]
