Hi mr carbikebus, surprisingly Eunos bus interchange seems to be ultra quiet. Not many passengers at all. Wondered why? Lack of a major mall? Bus interchange next to eunos MRT yet crowd is even lesser than that of Punggol or sengkang interchange. Other bus interchanges are short of berths yet eunos has so many extra not used. Before adding 76 and 150 to eunos, there are 5 empty passengers boarding berth/queues. After adding, still got 3 more extra queuing berths. Hope sbs 76 amendment to eunos will bring more load to eunos area. Cheers. Thanks.

Eunos has never been a crowded place. It might be the only multi-modal interchange in Singapore, other than HarbourFront and Joo Koon, that is not built in a town centre.

The town centre has traditionally always been along Changi/Geylang Roads from Geylang Serai Market/Joo Chiat Complex to City Plaza.

Most transfer activity in Eunos has always occured along Jalan Eunos, rather than the interchange, except during peak hours where passengers want a seat on routes 60, 63 and 94.

Paya Lebar isn't that pressing. The one place that really needs the interchange is Marine Parade, where there is little space to accomodate one.

But this got me thinking: would it make logical or financial sense to convert the carpark near East Coast Park BBQ pits 7-12 (area C) to a multi-storey carpark, merging with the nearby one at Parkland Green, then set aside the ground floor for buses? That would make a small but functional bus terminal. The walls facing the beach can double up with soundproof barriers to minimise noise pollution for beach visitors.

After which, simply modify Marine Parade Flyover a little for departing buses to turn left into Still Rd South. Voila!

Hi mr Yusry, yes I know. I stay in singapore since born. I have been to changi/geylang road, geylang serai market, joo Chiat complex, city plaza and many other areas. I feel that the town centre lacked a major mall by capitaland or Fraser centre point. Further down is the marine parade and east coast cluster which is more lively. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr busanalyser, eunos serves as an intermediate place between paya Lebar and bedok. It has this space and it can be used as a gateway to marine parade, east coast cluster. After taking sbs 150 today, I fully understand why it is introduced from eunos to marine terrace loop. Before sbs 150 is introduced, telok Kurau road only has sbs 15 and 155. Some parts of telok Kurau only have sbs 15. Both sbs 150 and sbs 155 are looping services which make the frequency an issue. BSEP is supposed to provide roads with 1 or 2 bus services with more choices. Thus sbs 150 is here to supplement this. Nearest interchange is eunos which should help out 15/155. Cheers. Thanks.

友诺巴士转换站主要是为那些在勿落蓄水池路和友诺居地铁站周围居住，读书或生活的人而设的。因为勿落巴士转换站空间有限吗，所以有这个巴士转换站来辅助勿落巴士转换站容纳在勿落区穿行的巴士路线。

巴耶利峇地铁站那边很少有政府组屋。那里大多数是私人公寓，店屋和工业建筑物。即使在那边设立巴士转换站，在那里停靠的巴士路线主要还是往勿落区去的，只有几个会往阿裕尼区开去。更何况在加冷地铁站旁边有一个巴士总站。与其在同一个地区有两个相同的设施，不如在两个地区各设一个巴士转站或巴士总站? 我认为这是在友诺地铁站旁边设立巴士转换站的另一个原因。

Eunos Bus Interchange is to complement Bedok Bus Interchange to serve the people in Bedok, as the capacity of Bedok Bus Interchange is limited.

The other reason is probably because there is a bus terminal at Kallang MRT Station serving Aljunied area, so they have the bus interchange at Eunos MRT Station to serve Bedok area, to maximise resources.

24 is reliable??!!

Coming from a daily commuter of 24 in its eastern stretch I can tell you it is the contrary.

24 should consider skipping certain sectors of its route, to shorten its travel time while retaining its full route. CGA svcs also desperately need a terminating point. It's time.

tmr 76 will start terminating at eunos already.

Im afraid they would touch Sv 24 and end it at Eunos as well but if they really do so that means LTA is not focusing on reliability already as 24 is very reliable even though it is a super long loop service.

If they cut 858 i wouldnt be surprised

24 is needed as rail replacement when CGA line malfunction. It serves a similar function as 147 with respect to NEL.

70M, 107M, 111, 162M, 700A, 857 can possibly have a proper terminus at Suntec City, which is used as Hippo tour buses, The Original Tour and 7 Singapore Sightseeing lots. This will allow them to have mealbreaks, and drivers to have coffee at Food Republic.

171 and 960 can possibly have a proper terminus at Singapore Flyer, if LTA does not allow roadside parking at Marina Centre Bus Terminal.

36B, 55, 135 and 155 can possibly have a proper terminus at Siglap Road, which can be reactivated should the need arise.

70M,107M,162M and 700A no need terminus as they terminate at Shenton Way during specific times.The Coach shouldnt park at the new Marina Ctr Ter in the first place.If every loop trunk need terminate point in order to enhance frequencies then might as well dont introduce loop service.36,857,966 i agree cause theyre too long but service like 15,55,135 & 155 simply doesnt need a terminus.They can compensate BCs by having more break times at the Interchanges.76 already a wasted resource and we dont want that to happen anymore.LTA also not too free to built more terminals just for the sake of it.The bus plannings is getting more crap than before.
