Hah, I was right. The Canberra service would be an 88x series trunk, from Sembawang looping in Yishun.

Insider info? I had half a mind that they would use 164 or perhaps open a new numbering series.

My guess is to be launched on 14 August or later. Via Canberra Street?

It has to do with the estimated completion date of EastBank @ Canberra, Q4 2016.

should be around there as Eastbank / EastWave Probable Completion Date is now Aug/Sep 16 for the very first blocks

likely 3-4 stops around canberra estate

unlikely 164 ...

I believe there's a frequency requirement to be met first … not to mention the balance between fares and demand (an unpopular service would earn more as a trunk than as a feeder) as well. Unfortunate, but that's probably how it is ~

Well unfortunately most of the time its feeder fare..

883 is the correct service number.

As per the press release, the so called sv 68 has been pushed to 2017. Makes sense and glad they didn't make a mistake of launching now considering Tampines North still has a long way to go.

Hi mr busanalyser, not much of a difference between now and yr 2017. Sbs 68 is not expected to go to tampines north. Cheers. Thanks.

68 is doing the Tampines North.

68 is doing the Tampines North.

Hi mr smb145B, I thought Sbs 68 is doing tampines Ave 8, st 86, st 84? What is classification of tampines north? Tampines north refers to those new flats at the other side of tampines Ave 9, right? Those flats will only be up in yr 2018-2020. That is why I say Sbs 68 is not doing tampines north. Anyway just my prediction. Cheers. Thanks.

sv68 is not under SBST... it is under go-ahead.

the route is already leak on one of the Go-ahead service map previously..

it will passby Tampines North...there are industrial areas there...

I myself have tried the proposed route skipping Ave 11...

Is there a possible chance that the route of future service 68 be reviewed and changed prior to implementation?

Is there a possible chance that the route of future service 68 be reviewed and changed prior to implementation?

Probably. But I doubt there would be any chance of it merging with an existing service such as 46.

Hi mr lemon1974, yes it is under go-ahead. I hope it will pass tampines Ave 8, st 86, 84 which will be more beneficial than the industrial areas near tampines north. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr carbikebus, ok noted. Cheers. Thanks.
