Sometimes, this kind of thing cannot help it one. For me, i really care for my parents - i joke with them, go breakfast with them every morning without fail. I am also a mummy boy and i know girl hates this kind of guy for being too obedient. However, TS what i want to tell u is the time u can share with ur parents together is very short.

If ur bf sort of married u at age of 30, how long u think ur bf can be with his parents? at most 15 years, y? because only when one reach maturity then one MAY realise how important their parents are. For me, i realise it quite late or rather i am really stunned when i really it. Therefore, i am happy to be a mummy boy at the moment so that i can treasure them while time last till we parted.

Therefore, sometimes please spare a thought for ur bf.

Without em you are nothing,they spent for you on education,food,toys and what not? You mean you can provide for yourself at the age of 3? Only 3 scenarios

1) Your bf dont give a damn about you so he is taking his own sweet time to come over. He uses his mummy's lunch as an excuse.

2) Your bf is really a mummy's boy who seldom defies mummy's wishes. He is very dependent on his mother. Mother say whatever he will obey one. I mean wtf he is 24 yrs old already, gf tell him go out, his mother tell him go out after lunch and yet he obey his mother.

3) Your bf simply loves mum's cooking. He is a glutton.

So not living with your parents = not loving them and being able to provide for yourself at the age of 3? Hmm not sure if your logic works.

Btw this has nothing to do with America, I'm talking about almost the entire world from Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, Australia, Africa and almost friggin everywhere it's customary for the children to stop living with their parents once they reach a certain age.

Just because they start a family of their own doesn't mean they stop caring about their parents.

I would not dump him that fast if I were you since you're both quite stable already to the stage of fixing stuffs etc..

So if you're annoyed over this weakness of being a mommy's boy..

Give him a path, a few choices, a few set of simple 'test' and see if he is decisive or just a tag-along follower.

If he's the latter, then you decide what you want in this relationship.

Its a culture,people in America/Europe move out when they reach 20s. But in most Asian countries,it dosen't happen. That usually happens when they are married if not they tend to stay. Look around you.My logic works by seeing stuff around me.

Yes, that's how it is.

There is nothing wrong with staying with the parents.
In fact, the parents do come in rather handy.

The problem starts when the guy lets his/her parent interfere too much in their relationship.

I think some of the earlier posts mentioned that he might have used his mom as an excuse. I think it might be possible.
I often use my mom as an excuse, esp when I'm lazy to budge and am going to be late. I often hear some of my counterparts using such excuses too to get rid of some unwelcomed guests.
Examples are:-
I got to help my mom with some chores, I'll be late.
My mom quarrelled with me, sorry I'm late.
My mom cook already, I got to eat or else she'll flip. I be late.
My mom not feeling well. I got to accomp her awhile. I be late.

It's convenient.
Sometimes my mom overhears my conversation and scold me for using her as an excuse.
Hahaha.

Maybe when next time he says an excuse involving his mom, you try to confirm with his family?

You might want to talk things out with him. Tell him that you are uncomfortable with him being too attached with his mom. Not that it is a bad thing but remind him that he's alr 24 yrs old and should be able to live freely and independently wihout involving his mom too much.

if he still doesn't listen or far worse, tell his mom after you told him how you feel, then dump this good-for-nothing mommy boy!

eh.... if this kind of guy is not ur ideal bf, wat for sticking on with him? might as well break off.... by reading your post, i feel u feel disgusted by his action....

but sometimes, he might be using his mum as the excuse.... cos he might be at home playing online games or other stuff.... so, he use his mum as the excuse to refrain from further explanation to u....

but, since u say, the appt time is 4.30pm but he reached around 7pm, means he dun even matters meeting u.... so, i feel, both of u should have a talk.....

(P.S. murder a person, you'll sentenced to death.... LOLx.....)
