There have been numerous cases where the police were forced to drop
several assault cases due to lack of evidence in recent
memory.
It isnt about i call the police, and he go to jail. It isnt as

The police will decide if the boy is worth charging or not. But
based on words alone. Highly unlikely.

It is not about dumping the case to the police.
It is about reporting a crime to the police. period.
You are advocating a 12 year old kid to go off scot free on
his apparently criminal actions . I am saying if the parents do not
want to punish him and make him acknowledge the wrong done and
apologise to the girl ,then the option is to call the police
. If it is not my relative, to hell with his parents, I am
going straight to the police to report it.
This boy is already learning to get away with his actions - he will
try to push the boundary again . One day - he will get into trouble
for real.
