Depends which phase of working life are you at...
From your qns, I infer that you are starting out not more than 3
years...so 50% is a lot of money.
Do your own calculation on your monthly commitments.....do you have
enough to pay for your needs, your wants ....
If your current job allows you to pay for your house, your
children, your parents, and annual hols, then it's easy....do you
need that insecurities and extra cash from the new job?
If not, how long does it take for your to fulfill those above in
your current job?
What is the prospect in the other coy? Will you become mgt level
there? If you will, then politics can be controlled by you - lead
by example, etc. If you are just another 'corporate zombie', drink
Brands and deal with it. It adds 'excitement' to your working life!
ha....learn to protect yourself in black and white. Evil is lurking
everywhere...cos there's human around us.
If you decide to go for $$$, then be mentally prepared to take up
the challenge. It's not all that bad really....the thing is, you
WILL NOT KNOW UNTIL YOU ARE THERE.
If you are young, I say go for the $$$...take the shit for 1 - 2
years, try to improve the situation, and move on...
Beside $$, also consider the benefits and working hours....some
firms pay but you ended up working long hours....so if you sort out
your hourly rate, you end up the same.
