yes.... it seem like so, cos the earlier 415 buses were placed by SBST in 2014.
(and 264 were under SBST, 161 under BSEP)...

this additional 176 buses is placed by LTA (should be similar to the 60 A95 orders) as well.

There is a statement that say that Volvo East Asia Pte Ltd, won a LTA contract to supply 176 double deck buses in 2015.

i think that explain the rego range of SG5000-SG5175.

SBST ordered 415 B9TLs but I think they are using for SBST's own use to replace VO3X Batch 2 and 3s only, thus completing the job of conversion to WAB.

There are not enough DDs to cover their replacements of other buses, or whom they need for new operator. So LTA ordered 176 buses on its own.

Actually 136 doesnt need many DDs,Just deploy 3 split DDs enough.Weekends can deploy 2-3 for the sake of Sgoon Gdns

Those buses probably won't come with the SBST base livery.

Most probably most of them have not arrived yet, those SG50XX and 51XX buses are mostly from the 415 buses. Then the 176 buses will be to replace the SBST buses transferred to the GCM.

Even the 415 buses order was placed earlier, the scheduled delivery were up to 2017. Volvo is capable of producing more buses at the same time. So delivery of the 415 buses go along with the delivery of the 176 buses. Just that some of these 176 buses were in SBST livery since they need to be deployed earlier b

READ again, it said as of 31st December 2015, 30 buses had been delivered to LTA. It takes time for a production line to transition to a new livery, particularly if the materials have already been ordered. Such materials include paint, vinyl stickers for the livery. Furthermore, as the buses first appeared in 2015, the livery wasn't even available for public voting, and as we found out, it took 5 months from the announcement of the new livery to the appearance of the first green Wright.

I like the old one. This one even more dangerous. It may seem like something minor but it also means that workshops, spare part shops and the general public are now unable to check your vehicle's Chassis number with just your vehicle number. This is actually pretty "counter productive" in terms of both work and security. Spares stockist and workshops are actually not interested in getting your NRIC as with the info, we can access more personal information on the LTA and other websites. Do you think this move increases or decreases security? People might be harder to look at the registration dates, de-registration dates, how much do they pay for the COE on this vehicle. There are at least 180 more Volvo B9TL/B5TLs on order and about 130 more MAN A95s. Are you willing to let others know your NRIC for the sake of convenience or risk ordering and getting the wrong parts for your vehicle?

Note, old buses people don't want - step-entrance. But if it is a Trident 3 or VSO, sure can Carousell it.
