Shouldn't be surprising. That's how SMRT has made its feeders
after the bendy quota was reduced. Instead of using DDs to
compensate loss of bendies, they have done massive rigid
addition.
Look at 901, 911 - both having high number of bendies now left
with very few. Rigids are timed to bunch and leave the interchange
throughout the day. More so with traffic conditions, spotting 3-4
buses on 911 together is not rare.
Same case with 811 in Yishun.
912/913 also have a lot of rigids when the fleet should have
been strictly full fleet bendy or replace some bendies with
DDs.
Probably this would be a temporary situation. SMRT has started
using double deckers for 860 with a good start.
Things will become better once Yishun feeders gets transferred
to the new operator.
