Hah... the urban myth of True love again.
You are so narcissistic; it's hardly any wonder why things just
don't work out for you.
You tried to 'change' according to what you reckon as improvements.
But when results don't show, you blame your environment.
This is classic top trait among failures; when they attribute
blames to their circumstances, environment and the people around
it, but never themselves.
And how egoistic can you get? Demanding true love to come to
you?
Watch Bruce Almighty and you will know that even God is powerless
against individual's freewill and love, therefore, who do you think
you are to demand true love just because you want it?
It's almost like taking a course and you tell your lecturer "I want
to pass with merits and distinction but I won't study for it. Oh
ya, don't fail me as well."
So you think that true love come by as charity? And that you are
exceptional enough to be granted such boon?
Perhaps you need more than just external changes; you probably need
to work twice as hard from within.
