my gf is hoping to go overseas to further her studies UNI, for me same case as u, got to go NS too, and v soon....

my gf is hoping to get into NTU, if not she is strongly considering to go oversea le, i can understand how u feel, i m sure u can understand mine as well......fear is the word........

for now, i hav to just pray she gets into NTU, pray for me too Very Happy

well my wife is a jap. we both been married for half year. got to know her when i first touched down on osaka kansei airport. at that time, i was new & not sure of which buses to take me to tottori. so she happened to be on the same destination as me & willing to help me out. told her i was here for new product development & will stay in japan for half a yr.
as time passes, the schedule for me to return to s'pore had arrived. both of us were very sad to part each other. Sad
when i'm in s'pore, she used her hp to call me (almost very days). i also did the same. 1K spent on hp bill in a mth. Shocked but itz worth it. in order to save this amt of $ & able to meet again, she decided to relocate & worked in s'pore. Very Happy from that time onwards, we r unite again.

since u loved her so much, u must believe in her. mutual trust is very important. juz give her a call once a week will be gd. she will appreciate it. but dun b like me, as the long distance call is quite xpensive. moreover, u r still in ns.

I think I'll likely be in the same boat in one year's time. I'm in NS now...gf taking A Levels this year so going uni next year.

Her parents would prefer for her to go overseas uni. For HER personally, she is okay with either staying in SG or going overseas. Actually she's interested in a course in SG, but its not 'prestigious' so her parents would likely not approve...

Even though it's still quite long (one year) before its time for her to go to uni, I'm already starting to feel troubled by this. Hai...

I feel she should just do what she likes...after all uni affects future job and hence her whole life. But I don't feel good influencing her to defy her parents. Still, I'm really hoping she stays in SG...

since both of you is so in love with each other .. why worry? Anyway.. is only 6 mths.. nowadays days pass very fast.. so no worries. But then if she choose to change her heart.. no matter wat u did .. u also cant stop her. So leave it to fate lah..
