Good enough,Now with so many service passingby Punggol Field/East,There is no need to add buses.Peak hours can maintain 6-9 mins while off peak is best at 8-13 mins I never asubject to traffic conditions

83 loading is quite poor these days between Sengkang and Punggol town. Also Sengkang MRT got less than 30 pax board every sv 83 bus for most timings. This was very different a year back. I think introduction of other services and closing of Compass Point has had this effect.

Hence 83 never got fleet add since last 4-5 years I think now. Frequency remains at 10-14 mins even though loading is good between Punggol Central and Punggol MRT, offset by fleet add/capacity upgrade on sv 3/85.

Actually 83 no need to go Punggol Central/Field and East,From Int just turn right to Punggol Place,Punggol Field 1 stop,Punggol Rd,Rivervale Dr,Compassvale St and to Sengkang Int..With more direct to Sengkang its also an alternative to MRT.A new feeder 383 will do Punggol Field/East/Edgefield plains/Central and back to Int.83 can cut 2 buses while the new feeder can do with just 3 buses.

The GA Ang Mohs was really suprised by the winding route to Sengkang actually,They claim its misleading people who wanna go to Sengkang from Punggol Int.Instead of a few mins to Sengkang by MRT the bus go one big round at Punggol Ctrl/East/Field..Hahaha.The EDS or bus int plate should put 83 Punggol East/Sengkang Int rather than only SKG.I think svc 3 already put Pasir Ris/Tampines because of the confusion.

Hi mr carbikebus, with no disrespect to them, the Ang MOHs don't understand our local culture. For those want go direct, they can take sbs 119 from Punggol to sengkang mrt direct. No,I joined other company as an LTA surveyor(James Bond).I forsee there will be only 4 operators in future with SBST/SMRT is the main player while another two is just on 5 years basis and will be replaced by another two foreign players.The two incumbents will still be holding 70% of the bus routes under their belt.I would be glad if LTA decide to tender out the MRT/LRT lines too.

Typical run time issue for new BSEP service... 308 buses were all crawling.. they were given 26-29 mins (hear from BC conversations) per trip

If they are surprised, this means they never anticipated this when they were bidding for the contract. If so, why are they awarded the tender? Is it because they are from another country, that's why they won? Well, good luck to Go-Ahead yeah.

They anticipated more than we do but again a few guys doesnt represent the whole lot yeah..Its only theyre too used to their culture to include the route before the final destination,Nothing wrong with that.They also ask svc 17 routes before Bedok and i dont find anything wrong with that too,Do you have a problem with that?
