DigitalArt90 SG

you wanna hook up with some people from diff companies in sg? like skateline, skatesports, inline culture etc? i play inline hockey with a couple of them maybe they can help out.....

Rock^Star SG

wah thank god! someone finally replied after 20 days! lol. Would u care to share more info on how i can contact them?

Bangulzai SG

hahaha

wonder how come no skaters around nowadays

i also never see your post

oso curious u r the kind that picked up the skill n skate alone ard ur neighbourhood oni?

erm, sorri abt dat cos when i started skating i oredi know abt skateline and all these oredi. they are pretty much prominent

they have websites leh, and along east coast stretch their shops r all there

http://www.skateline.com.sg/ etc. etc. etc.

bhkw SG

LOL .. i also just saw this ..

digitalArt - you play hockey? in sg? which team? ... i'm in hornets ..

since i am an instructor myself i can better explain how you need to do this ..

first you need to find a company you want to work with .. in my opinion DO NOT join skate sports, urban inline and singapore inline ..

my recommandation is INLINECULTURE .. i'm working there actually .. just go their website and look for the number .. when you get their number call and ask when they are having their next instructor course.. they are not open on mondays so dont bother ..

when you've got a date on when they have their instructor course just keep in contact with them cos it is usually not confirmed until the last minute

and also if possible go down to the shops and try to make friends with them .. they have 2 shops in ECP(east coast park) 1 shop in katong 1 shop in WCP

i suggest just go to the ECP one .. (it's nearer to the lagoon in the park itself)

names you should take note is me(xiao ben), waiyin, steven, Ang, Alloy360

those are the names of all the .. kinda "big shots" guys .. dont ask why i'm xiaoBen ...

once you make friends with them the rest will be eeasy ..

hello bangulzai, u also skate ah....cool. U cat lover too hor haha. I used to skate week in week out until i went overseas for 2 years. Now it's like on and off....and funny thing is i never really made firm friends with anyone from the skate shops!

Blade with a few friends on and off last time on a regular basis. Cant skate in my neighbourhood la....so many humps and slopes.

And bhkw (xiao ben), thanks for the info. Any idea when the instructor course is starting? I will give a call on tues and check it out. Btw, how's the pay rate if u dun mind? Ur inlineculture is at the lagoon there, u mean the old big splash ah?

Why the aforesaid 3 companies u dun recommend huh? Thanks bro...appreciate it. :)

the shop is at the "ski360"there .. furthur down after the halker center .. towards the jetti

the 3 comapnies i dont reccomend cos i know ppl from that company jump to IC(inlineculture)

the pay if i remembered correctly is 20 for 1 lesson wich is 1 hr ... there are 4 lessons on weekends .. private classes pay more ...

i feel that this company is good for me lah .. but dunno bout other ppl .. :)

the next course i dunno when .. gotta call to check.. cos they need a certain number of people to start ..

Rock^Star SG

orrh....that area huh....next to the drinks and rental area. Ok cool, i give a call on tues. Any no. that I can call? Or it's alrdy on website.

So if i take the instructor course by inlineculture, they will hire me or i have to see which other company requires instructors?

How much for a start by the way, the cost of the course? haha pardon the many qns.

bhkw SG

no prob but i'm going to sleep soon ..

the course is free but you only qualified to teach at IC .. if you want jump to another comapny you have to take their course again ..... ... it 's like that cos different companies have different styles of teaching .. ;)

once you finish the course they will call you for work .. if they dont you'll have to fuck them for it sometimes(i know they are busy cos i'm the one making them busy sometimes)

haha ... ;D

and yeah .. their number is on the website somewhere .. http://inlineculture.com.sg/

their number; 6344 5522 ... but the line would be busy .. so ya got to keep trying ..

Rock^Star SG

sounds great! tks for all the info. maybe we'll be colleagues ha.
