Read the newspaper today, and was surprise that our mp was so
excited for these foriegners "big day" then thinking of ways to
help our own needy people in this time of recession.
It was the world no. 7's big day and nearly 600 guests had
turned up for the five-hour lunch banquet.
"After obliging he media by posing for a few quick shots, the
couple made their way into the lobby as a chorus of voices called
out: "Jiawei, Jia you(keep it up)!"
Ms Lee Bee Wah, president of the Singapore Table Tennis
Association, told the New Paper on Sunday later: "Did you hear that
cheer? It was us shouting out!" (What's so excited shouting out?So
lame!!!)
Ms Lee was especially excited and she explained why to the guests
during the lunch. In a brief speech on behalf of Singaporean
officials who were unable to make it to the reception, she said, in
Mandarin: "My feeling is like I' am marrying off my own
daughter."

Well our MP was so excited for her, what you guys think what she
thinking? It's best we depend more on own local players insitead of
them foriegners.Well, this is what we get from China peoples if we
depend on them!!!

Look at the comment by one China guy at number 17.
here is the copy and paste version from the above link.
To those who can't understand Chinese, a short summary of what
that he say:
One Singaporean wrote in to the forum to thank Lee JiaWei for
what she had done for Singapore, and got one China fellow reply
back " She's just a China born players to represent Singapore for
the game, what so proud of that!!!"
So the conclusion is... depend on ourselves and feel pride. If
you depend on others, you only will be a laughing stock by other's!
You can only proudly say we depend on them to help us win a medal
but we can never dare to held our head up to say "WE WON THE
MEDAL".
Moral of story is... why still waste so much millions to get
them in when we can train it ourselves!!! A thousand journey begin
with a single step, so if we can put in extra hardwork we can see
the result in the future. It's excuses from the government that we
lack of talent when we have alot of them but our government just
want to take shortcut to get the medal!!!
