But 967 is stopping at jalan kayu? LTA spend 25 million building the transfer bus stops at TPE, so die die must use lah. I think it is the most expensive pairs of bus stops in Singapore.

When I designed the route, I made 967 stop at Jalan Kayu because 858 does as well and is transfer point for Sengkang West / YCK Road residents to Changi Airport.

For TPE stop, since I proposed new service 1 from Sengkang going non-stop to Changi Airport after TPE stop, this connection is maintained.

Moreover TPE stop will have 39, 969 to Yishun, Chong Pang and 168 to Woodlands.

Hi mr SMB128B, this means all those who have been traveling from hougang/buangkok/Sengkang to airport all these years on direct bus 27 are myopic. I am also myopic. LTA is also myopic. Only you are not myopic as you see full picture.

However lucky for all of us who are myopic, the current bus route in Singapore is as planned for all of us who are very myopic. Really very lucky for all of us that we have a direct sbs 27. Cheers. Thanks.

My friend... all those years you didnt have a choice because there was no TPE stop for transfer. Now there is 858 but it is already crowded and full when it comes from Yishun side to airport.

Hence, the Sengkang-Airport service I have proposed takes people from NEL to Airport in just 4 stops. I think they will love it and welcome the decision + it will relieve loading on 858 (which I also made express with 967).

Going by your logic, 201 should also not take the Jurong Townhall flyover but call at the two bus stops along AYE but it doesn't because the purpose of 201 is to bring people from Clementi to Penjuru/Teban Gardens faster.

27 will become 108 with full fleet DDs. I think people will love this as well. Anyway, I am not going to continue explaining to you because we have had many fights on your way of thinking on this topic before, but I still try to explain you, in case you want to have a more open mind on how this suggestion will be good for all.

I like how routes are made to serve all Northern towns, but that means they operate like 966 where it is the only route and lots of squeezing around (if you are talking about full DDs thats a different story - but some roads are prone to jams)

Services such as 24, 27 and 858 should be split as they are too winding and have long looping points that causes these services to be totally unreliable on their return leg.

I really hope they can launch a MRT parallel service for 858 to Changi Airport that could go as follows.

it would better for LTA to introduce a service from AMK int to airport via amk Ave 3/CTE/TPE/sengkang (passby compass point) n then TPE to airport. Rather than introduce another service from the north.

Not all of them can be accepted as CGA services, but you can try but that would not happen for sure

sv 24 has red marking in all bus apps from 530-645 pm. This is because of SUTD that buses are packed to brim as sv 24 is fastest to Tanah Merah MRT, though sv 2 is an alternative.

Not sure if there is a merit in diverting sv 38 along SUTD given its high duplication with sv 12 and now in Simei town there is sv 20 too.

Don't think SUTD is much of an issue given the small population; all three buses (2, 5, 24) connect to MRT stations, with the most direct being 5 to Simei. There is also 47 in the backyard to link to Tanah Merah which is easily an alternative choice. The bulk of 24's loading is more likely due to commuters to/from the airport.

Dunno about 38. Diverting it away from Simei would cause some residents to lose a direct link to Tampines Ave 7 and ITE, and would probably also worsen the crowding on 20.

Could probably ask SMB128B about this, seeing that he lives around that area.

Yes even I am not sure of 38. Need to a deeper analysis on this one.

Coming to 24, the loading is okay from Changi Airport, bulk of it comes from the condos and SUTD at Upper Changi. 47 leaves with merely 5-6 pax from SUTD so I don't think students use that as an option.

This has been my observation on sv 24 of late.

Airport loading on 24 only exists in the morning towards CGA... Other times normal only

24 major catchment along Upp Changi is at the three stops after PIE... SUTD is one of them...

But students have lots of alternatives besides 24... Expo MRT is just a 5-10 min walk for some parts, and some students also wait for CCP shuttle... And yes 2 and 5 are options too...

Ofc I cant deny your findings that 24 has high loading from SUTD... But if you divert 38 where will it go then? You must not forget that diverting 38 away from Simei means it will have to skip all sections in the entire town... Even though each section does not have high pax, but when accumulate will have quite significant impact... Esp. The sector from Metta to Tamp.
