Haha and its ironic where GA appointed some office personnel to take the Class 4 course and Omnibus VL too.So not enough BCs those chaps all will come out drive half way ah?There is pros and cons too.I really pity those ex-SBST,SMRTB,SATS or Dnata bus drivers who only got 4A compared to those first batch class 3 which get their class 4 for free courtesy of the company.

at least they can drive and sympathize with the drivers, in addition to increased drivers pool.

I think service standards will drop after the initial fanfare. Perth's GCM model is designed mainly to cut cost.

If you provide no incentive in the contract to pick up passengers and penalize operators for being late, funny things will happen (as it did in Perth). It makes the former practice of "fan pai" look pale by comparison. PTA WA/Transperth took more than two decades to try and correct that problem and they still can't straighten things out because the contracts are for 10 years (i.e. breeds complacency).

But that's no longer my problem. Singaporeans get the government they deserve.

Remains to be seen. What is certain is that fares WILL increase, the question should be, by how much? Unless the government is able to grow money out of thin air.

Too early to conclude,We will see about that when the real test begin..Right now everybody also can say they will assist..Not everyone can be a genuine bus captain..It took patience,Responsibility and of course the way you spoke to people.

I doubt there is that much differentation to begin with. Even GA uses the same "welcome to XX" EDS as TT on the recruitment buses, down to the same font and size.

Transperth has even made its bus operators standardize the EDS format. If Transperth is already doing that, then I am expecting the same level of micro-management to occur here. As such, any substantial initiative would have to come from LTA.

TT get more than 530 million meaning about 100.9m per year while GA only get 497.7m which is only 99.5m..I know that theyre trying to cut cost whatever seem not necessary unlike TT.

If want 3-door SD, must by the 14.5m bus liao, which I think LTA doesn’t want to.
LTA should really buy low-entry buses for svcs 15,34 and 36.
In future those svcs would be like 190 style, must show video.

Not really la must 14.5m,There is already 12,12.2,12.5m single deckers mah..The objective is for those feeder and short trunks..Especially for svc like 358/359..few stops alighting..Can tank many standing pax.Can move to the rear.
