A relationship is hard work. It is effort and it is time consuming.

A girl is not a thing you keep or a pet you raise.

A girl is a human being, that requires needs maintenance and plenty of time together.

Ask yourself,
Why your friends all break up so easily ?
Why your friends cannot even maintain a long lasting relationship.
If it is because they don't want a long lasting relationship, then why even bother getting into one ? Waste of time, money and efforts right ?

When you seek a relationship, are you ready to sacrifice your personal time and your personal space ?

Look for one when you are ready, not because your friends have it.

You don't have to understand their predicament because you are not in their shiat.

Have you seen much of the world yet ?
Have you done what you wanted to do yet ?
Have you decide how to live your life yet ?

There is nothing wrong with your life now, why change it ?

Many guys around your age are without a girlfriend, simply because there are too many girls out there still not ready for a relationship with a guy.
They are too busy enjoying their life to be lonely.

So, don't tell me you are lonely, I'd rather believe you are bored.

Ask yourself whether have you tried to know more gals, widen your social circle, asking gals out on dates just to increase you chances to get hitch...

If you have not been doing that, then you have to blame yourself for being single...

You need to be aggressive not passive...

Its like going for a heavy bench...you think you can only do two reps for that poundage, but on that day, you can do another perfect rep with that poundage...

You just have to be aggressive and test water...

Sex? Emotional void? Companionship? Ego-fulfilling?

Sex: You can always find prostitutes. There are 17 year-olds already selling themselves. They're around you, and us. Some Poly girls, some JC girls. You get the drift.

Emotional void: Pets? As compared to girlfriends, they are relatively low-costing in upkeep (No offence to our feminine gender out there. But if it's an emotional void, it makes sense to get a pet instead of a girlfriend).

Companionship: You can always grab a couple of good friends, and go wild with them. Cycling, girl-drooling, whatever.

Ego-fulfilling: Kill that ego, please.

Unless your relationship is treated with a right attitude, it is doomed to fail, right from the very first day. Love is not a toy, despite what other adolescents may think.

A relationship built with the wrong attitude will, one day, blow its own cover, and manifest itself in the wrong ways. Of course, there are always exceptions. But do you want to take that minuscule chance?

IMHO boredom and loneliness and hopelessness are subjective leh... Feelings can creep up out of the blue. Sometimes difficult to control... we are not robots.

Not fixed one lah. Random one lah. This is why human beings so cute to analyse and study mah.

Sometimes in company of good kaki you can still feel lonely. In midst of hectic schedule you can still feel empty. Both may not necessarily be pathetic mah... can take a step back and reflect also. Sometimes 'chiong' all the way, busy everyday, fixate yourself with positivity also may not yield results. Too quick to judge liao wor.

A real relationship is one where you want to be with a person. In your case, you don’t seem to have a specific person you want to be with. You seem to just want the status, or simply company of anybody (and not somebody specific). So my suggestion is, go with your heart. When you encounter that person whom you like, you will naturally want to be with her. Hopefully both will be happy together, and there you have a nice couple. Anything else is secondary. If you don’t have a specific person in mind, whom you always think of, your real prolem is the feeling of emptiness, which has many solutions other than going into a relationship. Some take drugs, some take up hobby, some go into religion, etc. But frankly, I think you should be patient and relaxed, try to understand your girl friends more. Be sincere and start with simple friendship instead of harbouring lofty thoughts about relationship. By and by you will understand more and develop your character better.
