I'm not surprised if Scania Citywide Double Decker will be introduced to Singapore in 2016.if that day comes I will celebrate in style.

Like that can say those MAN ND323F is exclusively for SMRT only eh..LTA C'Mon leh since they can take the Volvo B9TLs why not spread those A95s too?

seem like the B9 is to swap with E500... while the A95 most likely will be in service to replace those smiley bendies (29 Unit).... the space for parking these 29 units of smiley bendies, can be used to park 42-43 DDs...

so far the E500 are going to TT.. whether it go to GA or SBST, that remain to be seen... nobody know except those working at LTA...

20 new citaros to take over 2 smrt PPSS service? i think there is only 4 perm buses on 912P/307P each...

further, with the recent addition of buses, would have expect them to pull buses from the current fleet.. or even withdraw the PPSS service totally... there is really no need for 912M/240M or to add buses for 291/293...

269 is currently doing ok with downroute of 269 (am peak) and 269A (2-3 buses) during evening peak..

Erm no...? TT has not been receiving more E500 alr? It has only been taking in B9s...?

I dont see 106 or 97 having more ADLs...? So where are they actl going to...?!

So far SMRT only will control 77 service excluding the Seletar package service and from there you can roughly guess how much DDs they need actually.

There is 12 E500 transferred over to TT recently... 3557 was on 143 today.. this week Sv143 getting more E500 appearance.....why TT need so many more DDs i also dunno why...

tot sv189 are getting E500 as well? not so sure about it though..

Maybe GA also dont want E500?SBST also reluctant unless LTA transfered them all the remaining units?For BSEP side only left 56 units right?

maybe SMRT now find that E500 are difficult to maintain and have high running cost? so they traded with B9... pls go find some inside information....

AFAIK there are two sides,A portion say they rather maintain those E500s because its easy to pass smoke test during inspection but again they told engine tuning is quite difficult(Don't really know what he meant by that).One ex-SMRT technical supervisor he doesnt like MAN because of smoke test after 2-3 years on the road.Out of 10 sure 2-3 will fail..Have to replace the EGR exhaust filter and involved some soot cleaning inside the exhaust system which is quite tedious and he rather GA take E500s over the MANs.Before he left SMRT WLDEP he say WLDEP trying hard to get rid off the E500 to other depots but was rejected due to insufficient DDs.

Might be replacing those 29 MK II bendies also.Amdep got 6,Kjdep got 8 and Wldep got 15 units..So in basic the DDs will replace some trunk svc with Habit bendies duties and Habit goes to feeders that use the MK IIs?

There is no escaping this issue once Euro 6 kicks in (NEA says its Jan 2018, so around a year odd left). Most manufacturers are forced to use SCR+EGR for Euro 6, whether its MAN, Mercedes, Volvo, Scania or Cummins.

The transferred ones should be replacing the volgrens especially from SMB192P-SMB206J keep an eye for any instructors handbrake/chair or L Plates installed.
