Well.... not in the 'ideal case' you might expect or think it should be. We do have different expectations/opinions regarding AA and the role of Mod afterall. I would say AA in sgforums can really only help that little much, but for all it's worth, those giving advice do what little they can to help. But like I have said before, it should in no way be compared to professional advice or those real Aunt Agony column in magazines or whatever. It would be the same no matter who the mod is.

Coming here to make friends and talk crap isn't just a culture in AA, it's the culture in sgforums.

Jojo, with comments like these, it clearly shows your frame of mind. You throw my own line to me telling me not to make enemies unnecessarily, yet you make such personal comments like this that only show you are too worked up. And for you to make comments like that involving Chin Eng's family so not right, if anything you should apologise to him.

Once again let me just say, people like me and Chin Eng do not condone any indecent acts done, but it does not mean we will agree with VK's methods and personal vendetta either.

I previously mentioned the below in another thread where you were posting, perhaps you might have missed it. Do read what's below before you make wrong assumptions about me again.

I think there is a seperate issue here about the role of a mod esepecially for AA. Some people believe the role of AA should be different from that for other forums. I personally see no diff between the role of mod in AA or elsewhere.

If people wanted to give advice, they don't have to be a mod to do it. If somebody wanted to PM another forumite and ask him or her out, it doesn't require mod status to do so. VK has asked Devil to meet up thousands of times, Devil just didn't agree.

To summarise, different people have different expectation or intepretation about what the role of Mod is in AA. I am not asking you to agree with me on the role of moderator, but understand that there is a difference in intepretation of the role as AA Mod.

To add, for a sexual predator to make his advances on anyone here in AA or even in the whole of sgforums, it doesn't require mod status to do something like that.

In any case, Devil has already announced that he will be relinquishing the role of mod, what are you guys asking for now? If you want him to be answerable for deeds offline, a report has already been made.
