Had friends in similar predicament before.

It could be

a) ex knows about the new relationship and is apologising to get you back to spite friend?

b) ex really realised his mistake and geniunely wants you back?

c) ex is jealous and doing so to stir shitz among your group of friends to ostracise you and new boyfriend out of the group: The kind of stuffs to paint you both as traitors? He has no intention of getting back with you.

What are your options? What do you think is more possible and what do you plan for your future?
