ChingAlvin SG This kind of things always happen. A friend need to borrow some cash and he explained the situation to me. I would say is of a Medium-High level level in need of the cash. $200 bucks. The thing is, i know the money go out, most probably would be gone forever. I am at a cross junction, should i, or not?

AndrewPKYap SG If you have to ask, then "don't". Obviously $200 means something to you. How much are you willing to lend him without expecting to get it back? $2? $20? Lend him what you are willing to lend *without expecting to get it back*. If he gets angry with you... the problem is with him and not you. He must learn to respect other people and not impose himself on others.

AndrewPKYap SG But you won't want them to help you *unwillingly* would you? So you help this guy but you help him according to what you can afford and the amount you are willing to part with. The other thing you can do is, lend him a bit *more* than what you are willing... like if you are willing to lend only $2/- then lend him $20/- If he returns you the money, the next time lend him $30/- If he does not return, next time lend him $10!

jojobeach SG That friend got no parents or siblings to borrow from meh ? I always get suspicious when friends do that lor. Friends is the easiest to open mouth for money, and the most dispensable when money no enough to return.
sonic_16 SG any1 ask me lend money, I say NO. They say need money to feed grandmother, to pay off this friend, to pay bank, to do this to do that, else they will die. I ask them, you still have your hp? That's y I say NO.
