fatslob SG I know this may seem trivial cos there are people here with real problems, but recently I moved out and have been overwhelmed by this feeling on loneliness that I have never really felt before.. dunno what it is. My apartment now is very bare and empty cos no reno yet, i'm staying win a small room with just a mattress n a tv + laptop, everytime I step out its dark and empty altho I can see the city clearly.. but the huge expanse of lights and tall buildings make me feel even more lonely. I realise I am more free now than any other time in my life.. but also very alone
dragg SG i have been living alone for 6 yrs. unless you are very outgoing or have a lot of friends visiting otherwise, living alone sucks!!!
AndrewPKYap SG Ignore him. This loneliness will drive you to seek for companionship. That is good. Get to know more people. Join a Church or Temple. Go for classes to learn dancing or pottery or something! This is a real problem that can lead to depression if you are not careful.
sggirl07 SG That's why i never wanted to move out. The invisible and unspoken warmth and support family can provide is often overlooked and taken for granted until it is missing.
udontknowme SG actually, its not that uncommon are you in singapore or have you gone overseas alone? invite some friends over sometimes?
AndrewPKYap SG Unless you live in a family that fights all the time. Then, it is better to make a clean break and find your own kakis.
udontknowme SG living alone IS a good experience if you are feeling lonely, call home or friends to talk to them hope u'll feel better soon
bluewinged SG apply for scv.get your guy frens to come over watch soccer after that go for supper together.there solved
fatslob SG Had a friend over for a while yesterday.. but my place so empty there was really nothing to do so he left quite soon...
fatslob SG Thanks everyone (esp mhcampy who seems to be always there for me, so much so its creepy) for reading my little rant but i'm sure the situation will improve with time.
