tomorrows the deadline for the submittion and I've done that (AJ
as first choice).
the problem is, I scored an 11 for R5 but AJ's COP for Science
stream according to the booklet was 9.
however, what further encouraged me to put AJ as my first choice
was this at their FAQ section of their web.
Q2. What are the cut-off points for the various streams at AJC? If
I obtain 11 points for L1R5 for GCE O-level examination, will I
stand a chance to be admitted to AJC?
A2. The posting is decided, based on the aggregate of the First
Language (L1) and 5 relevant subjects (R5), by the Ministry of
Education through its computerised system.
Our college does not determine the cut-off points. Rather, the
determinants are the number of vacancies available and also the
results of students who apply to AJC. Based on previous records of
cut-off points:
Science: 8 - 10
Arts: 10 - 12
okay see and mine's not far away.
plus my maths and science got distinctions.
English too.
now I'm wondering if I should change my choice to a JC which I can
secure a place easier.
what do you think?
