just to share my experience lah

my grandpa passed away when I was secondary 2

I was doing work in class when suddenly my eldest brother came to my class and told me my grandpa passed away

didn't really expect that to happen

guess everyone of us in the family didn't expect it too

I didn't really cry..and of course I did feel sad when I saw his coffin being pushed into the incincerator..that moment really left a deep mark in my mind cos everyone was like wailing..very depressing moment

my mum took a few weeks to overcome it lor..during that period my spirit was pulled down cos she was very very depressed..think I cried sliently during one of my trainings..my pltmates also couldn't do anything just shook their heads lol..think it's quite irrelevant to your topic but hahah..

but well it's definitely very sad if you think of your grandma..100 days are quite a short period of time if you want to accept someone who has just passed away..give yourself some allowance time bah..important thing is don't let this affect your life too much lor..think once a while ok lah but don't think until you do crazy stuff

also, don't expect yourself to forget someone close to you..cos he or she is someone whom you love dearly

I had the same feeling too that night when my granny passed away when i was in Sec 4 (I still remembered it was September 2003).

I don't know why but i had no mood to do anything and for some reason i felt really sad as though someone close is leaving me. And then the phone call came from my uncle in the hospital. He told my mum that my grannny cannot make it much longer (I think she was also diagnosed with cancer) and asked her to rush down to the hospital immediately. Straight after my mum put the phone down i can sense that she's gonna break down in tears. My heart sunk.

I cant even get to see her for one last time becos my mum told me to look after my nephew (3 years old den) who was staying with us den. When i was at her funeral i found out something from my mum - my granny passed away with a smile. At least that made me "happier" by a bit as I heard that she had gone thru alot of pain in the chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

I can see that u're a filial grandson/granddotter. These 100 days are too short to forget and move on. Give yourself some time and i'm sure ur grandma is smiling somewhere out there and acknowledging that she had a wonderful grandson/granddotter. Mr. Green

First, i lost my beloved grandpa... then i lost my best friend in college, then I lost my dearest grandma... within 2 years...

Haiz, my grandma's coffin was just send in today. Crying or Very sad But my grandma has been seriously ill for almost half a year already so its just a waiting for 'IT' kinda thing. Haiz but this kind of thing oso bo bian de la. Old age meh

somehow my emotions were quite suppressed all the while frm her last moments till cremation.

why? i dont know. perhaps there's something inbuilt in me that auto suppresses extreme emotions.

she's a fighter man....nvr gave up on her self.

I too, didn't cry during her funeral

But I did cried in front of all my buddies in camp when I received the "Come to hospital quick, you grandma might not make it" call from my dad a few weeks before. At that point, I just didn't really care and let it all out.

Then again, I believe that it was ok she left... She was suffering quite a lot in the hospital...
