Personally it looks to me the classic case of wanting the most what you could have but didnt, so cannot have - and enjoying your role in the "you could have it" so you dont want to change it into the confirmed you won't have it anymore.

Its been 7 years. She might have liked you then, but if I were her, I would have gotten tired of your endless declarations without action - and personally she sounds tired of it too.

I suggest you move on and give her and yourself a break.

Get to know more people and stop bugging her.

It is because of the fact that I treasure you very much, that is why I confessed this incident to you. Personally I do not think you have done wrong in confessing. I think you have started your relationship on the right foot. In a relationships, things are bound to happen as we humans are never perfect. It is how you handle the events that is important. I support your honesty and that is why I posted this advice for u.

7 years already...and since lately her response has been cold, I think the best thing you can do is to give up.

I think maybe between you and her, both of you are in between friendship and love. Yet for some reasons, both of you never managed to cross the line. Maybe it is cos it is the right person at the wrong time?

Once I went thru something like this...and I decided to give up, because I figure, if it were the right person, we wouldn't have had so many barriers in between us.

Is there any point in getting yourself trapped in the past and thinking about her after so many years? If things are possible between you and her now, good, then work on it and be with her.

Do you realise you're orchestrated the whole scenario, to make it seem that she liked you and you still might have a chance.

And you obviously do not want to move on, yet do not know how to approach. You need help, but none will come UNTIL you know what you want. And work from there.

The case of so close yet so far - obviously, the impact is so much greater.

I agreed with Orange about the matter of changing preception - but being human, one would prefer to stick to his/her tale of fantasy and love because there isn't anything better to override this scenario.

I could sympathizes with TS on his case (because I also have my fair share of drama-like script happening to me), but sympathizing doesn't translate to encouragement. Still, I would encourage him to release himself off this emotional bondage through wisdom.
