I feel that Li is more Singaporean than ever especially after winning a medal for Singapore.She is always grateful to be given an opportunity to be a winner which China didnt.Surely SIngapore would take care of one of its own legend the moment she stops playing.

I don't feel that she's a sg... She came here to pursue her ping pong career... She knew this when she came here... Unlike Tan Hwoe Liang who came here when he was 3 years old who at that time didnt have any ambitions to be a bodybuilder and go for the olympics...

Getting married to a rich Chinese businessman is probably the best thing for her to do because:

1. She’s a China girl. They have got such a bad reputation in S’pore and hardly any Singaporean guy would want to marry a China girl anymore.

2. She has reached her climax in table tennis and her career as a pro player is practically over. She’s not improving and getting surpassed by younger players like Feng TW. In other words, she will find it more difficult to get income in future, by playing with table tennis balls. So, might as well play balls with some rich Chinese businessman.
