A moment in time, this moment in time - Andrew PK Yap

AndrewPKYap SG

A moment in time, this moment in time
Is when we lived our past and we live our future
The moment in time, for lightning to strike the earth
Is when we fully engage and we stop and rest
The moment in time, the time it takes to blink your eye
Is when we are here and we are everywhere
The moment in time, the time it takes to smile
Is when we are depressed and we are joy unspeakable

AndrewPKYap SG

What if you planned for a life-time but you can only live one moment at a time?

blu_sky SG

One should have long term plans, but these plans are not supposed to be rigid.

sunny6110 SG

long term in accounting is only 1 yr Mr. Green

blu_sky SG

eh hem.... long term in accounting is more than 5 years.

blu_sky SG

Btw, fyi, 1 year is short term (in accounting) Cool

sunny6110 SG

i thought less than 1 yr is short term... anything 1 yr is long term le?? Confused

AndrewPKYap SG

Do you have a choice? Whether it should be "rigid" or "flexible"?

blu_sky SG

in accounting:

>1 year and < 5 years -medium term.
>5 years - long term.

i gotta charge you tuition fees already!!

blu_sky SG

it is your plan. why shouldnt you have the choice to make your plan rigid or flexible?

sunny6110 SG

but balance sheet got no medium term leh...
Mr. Green

accounting aside... when got time for coffee??

blu_sky SG

balance sheet got no medium term? check out the notes to accounts! Cool

You buying coffee ah?

AndrewPKYap SG

I meant can you make it rigid? You do have a choice not to make it flexible? For example, this morning you planned to take a walk at this time and then it started to rain and caused a flood. Look out the window, it is raining cats and dogs!

blu_sky SG

Of course you have the choice to stay rigid.

In your example, you can choose to be rigid and stick to your plan. Just be prepared to get drenched.

AndrewPKYap SG

Are you an accounting student dear?
