Possible amendment to service 193:
Partially retracting back to the original route before Joo Koon
Int route amendment. Close vicinity to Joo Koon remains at Int'l Rd
bus stop. Skipped bus stops along Jln Ahmad Ibrahim still served by
192.
I am starting to wonder, what if the reason why 193 and 192 is
re-routed to duplicate each other at Benoi Road, is actually
because they want to encourage people working in Tuas to alight at
Benoi Road and transfer to MRT at Joo Koon station? Maybe this
explains why 193 skips Pasir Laba Camp. It's probably temporary.
When the Tuas West MRT Extension opens by the end of next year,
there's no need for 193 to call at Benoi Road for that purpose, as
there will be Gul Circle station. 193 can revert to ply its
original route. :)
As to why 193 and 192 swap routes between Benoi Road and Pioneer
Road North, I guess this is to minimise loss of connection to
Jurong West Avenue 4 when we re-route 192 to ply another route to
Boon Lay Bus Interchange.
From the looks of it, it looks like they are "upgrading" 193,
while "downgrading" 192.
Well, we could let 192 ply Upper Jurong Road and PIE to Gul
Circle station, while let 193 permanently ply the new route (with
effect from 28 November 2015).
